Musculo-skeletal Rehabilitation
A Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation program is designed to meet the needs of the individual patient, depending on the specific problem or disease. The goal of musculoskeletal rehabilitation is to help the patient return to the highest level of functioning and independence possible, while improving the overall quality of life — physically, emotionally, and socially.
In order to help reach these goals, musculoskeletal rehabilitation programs may include the following:
exercise programs to improve range of motion, increase muscle strength, improve flexibility and mobility, and increase endurance, gait (walking) retraining and methods of safe ambulation (including the use of a walker, cane, or crutch), help with obtaining assistive devices that promote independence, patient and family education and counseling, pain management, stress management and emotional support, ergonomic assessments and work-related injury prevention.
What conditions can benefit from musculoskeletal rehabilitation?
Some of the conditions that may benefit from musculoskeletal rehabilitation may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Amputation, tendon tears such as Achilles tendon injuries and tears of the rotator cuff in the shoulder, trauma injuries such as sprains, strains, joint dislocations, and fractures, back pain, osteoporosis, arthritis, bone tumours, repetitive stress injuries, such as tendonitis and carpal tunnel syndrome and joint injuries.
Neurological Rehabilitation
Neurological Rehabilitation is the area of rehabilitation medicine that treats conditions affecting the nervous system: for example, Multiple Sclerosis, Stroke, certain infections, Brain Tumours and Traumatic Brain Injury.
People suffering from a neurological problem may experience loss of movement, sensation, balance or coordination and as a result may have difficulties with day-to-day activities such as walking, standing from a sitting position and holding and carrying items.
The aim of a Neuro Physiotherapy specialist is to aid the management of their patient’s problems through an ongoing program of advice, education and exercises, as well as the development of management programs and strategies that assist with daily activities. We use Spectrum of techniques such as NDT, bobath, sensory Integration, and PNF approach to attain strength, balance, endurance in neurological deficit patients.
Paediatric

Our Paediatric Rehabilitation caters to children with disabilities, who represent a unique population within paediatrics. Our team focuses on maximizing the function and enhancing the lives of children with a wide range of conditions such as Cerebral palsy, Spina bifida, stroke, brain injury, genetic abnormalities and other developmental disabilities.
The Conditions served are: developmental delay, cerebral palsy, sports Injuries, brachial plexus Injuries, fine motor delays, genetic disorders, in/out-toeing, limb deficiency, orthopedic issues, postural weakness, scoliosis, toe walking, spina bifida, club foot, sensory, coordination, & neuromuscular disorders.
We have a certified Paediatric therapist who aims to improve the quality of life utilizing latest rehabilitation techniques and equipment.
Women’s Health Physiotherapy
Our Women’s Health Physiotherapy comprises a specialized physical therapy program to meet the unique needs of women throughout each phase of their lives, such as: active child-rearing years, pregnancy, postpartum, peri- and post-menopause.
Specialty areas of treatment include: back pain, pelvic pain, pain with intercourse, urinary and fecal incontinence, osteoporosis, special needs after a cancer diagnosis, lymphedema, and strength and movement problems.
Our therapists have undergone certifications in Antenatal and Postnatal Therapy and supervise expecting mothers not only during pregnancy but also follow up post-delivery. We also conduct classes for moms-to-be in the comforts of their homes pre- and post-pregnancy and help them achieve strength, endurance and flexibility.
